This collection, ‘Deconstructing En Construccion’ is inspired by the Museum of Contemporary art Barcelona (MACBA) situated in El Raval, Barcelona. The build of MACBA impacted El Raval greatly, adding tourism, skateboarding, and cultural events to the barrio. Combining old and new Raval, this collection aims to explore the themes of Urban redevelopment in an international setting through bold graphic prints, recycled materials and sculptural forms.
Rubber sourced from bike tyres, is an ode to the skateboarders in El Raval and the footwear they wear. Hand screen printed fabric is inspired by the designers photos of the barrio.
