Waste and Waist

At the base of this collection are two main pillars of the fashion industry: waste and waist.
The dual aim of this plus size collection is to call attention to eating disorders and to sustainability, both addressed by the rights activists and laboratories inspiring this collection.
Pleated cottons and loose knitwear in different weights and depths facilitate the variety of women’s body shapes. Ornamental pattern stems from the surface and invisible structure of a leaf. Acting as a metaphor for lab and fashion industry, invisible plastic coating serves the need for protection from contamination.
