Say Nothing

With the rising political tensions lurking in the background of Brexit negotiations and border talks, Northern Ireland is at risk of history repeating itself. Inspired by my personal narrative as a Northern Irish native, moving to Dublin has forced me to reflect on recent significant moments which have left many feeling overlooked, frustrated and quite frankly afraid of what may transpire in years to come. Inspired by the work of Seamus Heaney, my practice aims to provide a voice to those of the "wee six". Presented in the form of a typographic book, moving image piece and unique emoji set, my work embodies the tangible tension evident while highlighting themes of culture and representation.
