Using design as a tool for communicating ideas, I have explored the effect of consumerism on the individual; on communities; and on the environment. Thorough research into economic models, system theories and the psychology of advertising has inspired me to translate my analysis into visual representations of my findings - a book, a series of letterpress posters and a zine. My aspiration is that my outcomes provoke the viewer to ask questions and empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives which collectively contribute to the creation of a more just world.
