Eva O’Hare
First Person, Present Tense

Eva’s work is inspired by brutalism, both in architecture and in our lives. She finds a fascination in the outwardly mundane forms of brutalistic buildings which hide their complicated inner layouts. Eva’s work links this to themes of burden and dealing with loss, things we often hide from the outside world with a strong exterior. Using a variety of materials such as silver, clay and the technology of 3D printing, Eva's degree work issues a challenge to look deeper than initial appearances. Inciting a conversation between it's pieces and inviting the viewer to participate.
