Eating fermented foods is all about encouraging good bacteria in our gut. Only recently have scientists found a definitive link between the gut and the brain. Fermented foods are a great way to manage your gut bacteria. For a practice that is hundreds of years old, fermenting foods needs to be encouraged to take place in Irish households today. Every living creature on this Earth interacts intimately with its environment via its food. Humans in our developed technological society, however, have largely severed this connection.
