Future Butcher

The intensive farming of cattle for beef is having a devastating effect on the environment. Future Butcher is a redesigning of a conventional butchers, which helps to normalise and celebrate lab-grown beef as a replacement for traditional beef. The meat is grown on “Shapers” which are bone-like forms designed to allow for a choice of cuts as well as aiding in the presentation, handling and flavouring of the meat. The redesign of other aspects of the butcher experience such as the apron, branding and blackboards also seek to assist people in their transition to lab-grown meat.
