From the outset I wanted to research an area that was unusual and away from the norm. Investigating the various taboos in Irish society today has sparked interesting and awkward conversations. A taboo is an activity that is forbidden or sacred based on religious beliefs or morals. A taboo is extremely objectionable in society as a whole and can isolate those who opt to break it. I am exposing these out of bounds topics in my project, ignoring the taboo association, discovering why they have become outlawed or 'Beyond The Pale'.
