Grainne Ryle
The Garden Shed

I have visually recreated my mother’s garden in order to retain her memory. In my time of reflection, I have collected bits of her life as it inspires my work. Using mixed media, such as cataloguing through a series of drawings, photography and painting, I have endeavoured to capture her way of life and make it a part of my own. Taking slips from her garden and making them a part of my own garden, I am continuing the life that she grew thus communicating the connection between the human touch, garden tools and nature.
