Kelley Farrell
Standing Still

This work explores overlooked fragments and surfaces, the life of leftovers and their resonance with the physical and lived body. The unseen spaces, the discarded, enshrouded artefacts and their remains found in interiors and exteriors, attempt to question the significance of the insignificant. In the combination of painting and sculpture, I question the potential for the salvaged form as a lens or frame and the relevance of the accidental painterly gestures of the everyday.
