Roisin Smith
Atolla

My current work is looking at aspects of marine life and sea forms, particularly the shapes and patterns of jellyfish. I distinguish between the characteristics of each jellyfish and integrate them into my blown forms using colour and texture. The relationship and qualities that are linked between glass and organic forms illustrate delicacy, movement and fluidity. The properties of nature that inspire me the most are the colour, stability, its evolution and harmony in nature.
