"Forget Me Not" Nostalgia: A transient Space

A catalogue of significant journeys unfolds in “Forget Me Not”, documenting visual representations of the artists’ world and their interactions with their findings. Scenes exploring space, pattern and nostalgia are evident. There is a physical juxtaposition between the artists’ memories and the postcards acquired from flea markets. Parallels are evident between the two time periods with a strong sense of the forgotten, the dismissed. The focus in life is often on the end product and not on the journey. The work investigates the aspect of the forgotten through images capturing the journey of the artist influenced by the written postcards and the significant event they aspired to document.
