If I was part of you

The senses are the border between the internal and external environment. Bodily awareness through our senses has, to a large extent, been forgotten in our busy lives. The shapes resemble sense organs, and are intended to echo the viewer’s body, connecting viewer to object. ‘If I was part of you’ focuses attention on your senses, specifically touch and hearing. The forms are to be touched and listened to; the surfaces are smooth and the internal spaces create echoes. The aim is to achieve an experience of heightened sensory perception; being in one’s own body, and at the same time being in the external world.
