"Empty Pockets" opens a space for critical engagement with current urban development in Dublin City. Phibsborough Shopping centre’s redevelopment plan illustrates the current trend of transient accommodation developments in Dublin City. “Empty Pockets” utilises tropes of gentrification, to challenge these neoliberal urban developments which dispossess communities and deny ownership to its residents.
