Pádraig Lillis is a Dublin based media artist with a focus on photography.
Through photography Pádraig challenges both personal and communal perceptions of the everyday and how we navigate it.
By presenting and taking photographs specific to a personal perception of the everyday, Pádraig’s work attempts to dissociate viewers from their comfortable understanding of reality around them.
To this end Pádraig has spent the year identifying surreal qualities and triggers in images of the ordinary including polarised light, silhouettes, desaturated vs bold colour, irregular gravity, dense and sparse detail, sunspots, tunnels, complex linear structures and pareidolia.
