My work proposes the body and unconscious desires as the centre of considerations regarding contemporary being. When conversations regarding society and the self have become increasingly more preoccupied with non-corporeal entities and networks, I’d like my work to re-present the body as a pure and sensual material, highlighting its power, sensuality, vulnerability, messiness and capacity to allow us to re-imagine its wonder, opening up a new realm of possibilities, limitations and seductions.
