Aleksandra Marinova
And Your End Will Come

The content of this work problematises definitions of art and the chaotic, upset state of the artworld caused by the pluralism in contemporary art practice. In an exploration of the durational and theatrical aspects of an "end", Aleksandra’s work reflects the human subject – as a body, the artworld is a system that is vulnerable to failure. With the non-empathetic juxtaposition of the powerful, infinite nature against the insignificant human life; the careless fluidity between attractive neon and the disturbing nature of the words which it depicts, she communicates the neurosis of the artworld and the collective human fear of its end – or the desperate denial of its happening.
